On the afternoon of August 5, 2026, within the framework of the 33rd Diplomatic Conference in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Trong Khang, Chairman of MK Group, attended the thematic session “Science and Technology Diplomacy Contributing to National Development Capabilities”, where he shared his perspectives on promoting Vietnamese electronic identification technologies and other “Make in Vietnam” strategic technologies to regional and global markets.

In his remarks, the Chairman of MK Group emphasized that mastering core technologies is a fundamental foundation for Vietnamese technology enterprises to strengthen their competitiveness and progressively expand into international markets. Building on this capability, Vietnamese enterprises can bring platforms and solutions in Digital Identity, Digital Trust and Digital Security deeper into global value chains, thereby contributing to strengthening Vietnam’s technological position on the international stage.
The August 5 session was co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, with the participation of representatives from central and local authorities, major technology corporations, Heads of Vietnamese Representative Missions abroad, and more than 500 representatives from research institutes, universities, associations and technology enterprises. Discussions focused on Vietnam’s international cooperation needs in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, while identifying priority opportunities and partners and exploring how the diplomatic sector and Vietnam’s overseas representative network can further support these efforts.
This direction also reflected one of the key messages of the 33rd Diplomatic Conference: in the new era, foreign affairs are increasingly becoming an integral component of the nation’s overall capabilities, closely linked to the country’s development objectives.
As Vietnam continues to identify science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as key drivers of national development, MK Group and its member companies are strengthening their capabilities in technology ownership, research and development, and manufacturing, while leveraging experience gained from implementing national-scale projects in Vietnam and international markets.
For MK Group, science and technology diplomacy creates an important bridge between the technological capabilities of Vietnamese enterprises and international partners, opportunities and markets. With the support and connectivity provided by government agencies and Vietnam’s network of representative missions abroad, MK Group expects “Make in Vietnam” strategic technologies to gain greater access to global markets, progressively moving from domestic technology ownership towards international competitiveness and technology exports.
Through this journey, MK Group looks forward to contributing not only to the international expansion of Vietnamese technologies, but also to strengthening Vietnam’s position and participation in global technology value chains in the digital era.
