18/04/2025

On the afternoon of April 18, 2025, at MK Group's Headquarters in Hanoi, MK Vision JSC and Pavana Technology JSC – both members of MK Group – jointly organized a security camera-focused event titled: “Redifining a New Era for Security Cameras with 5G and Edge AI” The event brought together leading experts from both domestic and international organizations such as Qualcomm, Ambarella, and Mobifone to share groundbreaking advancements in surveillance, especially the convergence of Edge AI and high-speed 5G connectivity.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyễn Trọng Khang, Chairman of MK Group, emphasized the critical role of AI-powered cameras in solving challenges in Vietnam and globally – from traffic congestion and traffic light management to smart transportation. According to Mr. Khang, MK Vision and MK Group possess core technological platforms and are always ready to collaborate with other enterprises to deliver products and solutions to end users. He also highlighted that the issuance of Resolution 57, which promotes breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, offers great opportunities for Vietnamese tech companies. “We are eager to partner with distributors, solution providers, system integrators, and large enterprises to address the country's pressing problems. Together, we can tackle many of these challenges,” said Mr. Khang.

Experts from Ambarella, Qualcomm, and Mobifone elaborated on the disruptive potential of 5G and Edge AI technologies. When integrated, they not only optimize bandwidth and minimize latency, but also enable real-time data processing at the point of capture – a key requirement for security systems to operate efficiently and respond instantly to complex security scenarios. Advanced video compression and cloud integration also help reduce deployment and maintenance costs while enhancing the user experience.

Mr. Lê Tuấn Khôi, General Director of MK Vision, introduced MK Vision's integrated AI camera ecosystem. Featuring real-time image analysis and assisting security forces in surveillance, incident response, and forecasting, these solutions serve as a powerful “ally” for authorities building a safe and comprehensive security network across the nation. Integration with the national population database will also open new potential for advanced data governance and multi-purpose applications.

According to Mr. Khôi, “AI cameras are no longer a trend but a vital element in modern security infrastructure. Using products developed by Vietnamese enterprises is a strategic choice for any organization, locality, or nation aiming for data sovereignty and sustainable digital governance.”

At the event, MK Vision and Pavana announced a strategic partnership with Ambarella – a U.S.-based leader in image processing and AI. This marks a significant milestone as MK Vision and Pavana become Ambarella’s first ODM partners in Southeast Asia, aiming to develop “Make in Vietnam” security cameras using cutting-edge AI chips. The collaboration not only expands R&D capabilities for Vietnamese-branded tech products but also strengthens MK Group’s standing in the regional tech landscape.

A key highlight of the event was the showcase and live demo of advanced AI camera solutions by MK Vision and Pavana across various sectors. In smart traffic, AI cameras were shown controlling traffic signals, detecting violations, measuring vehicle flow, and counting people in public spaces with high accuracy. In security and safety monitoring, facial recognition, biometric tracking, and thermal imaging AI cameras demonstrated powerful capabilities for rescue and emergency operations.

In addition to MK Vision and Pavana’s offerings, the exhibition also featured cutting-edge solutions from global partners such as Ambarella (U.S.) with edge processing, SCS (Canada) with video compression technology, and SafeGate – a member of the MK Group Technology Alliance – showcasing MK Network devices and secure internet solutions.

Participants and delegates expressed strong impressions of the practical applications and praised the effectiveness, integration capabilities, and scalability of MK Group’s solution ecosystem and its partners.

This event not only marked an opportunity for MK Vision and Pavana to showcase R&D achievements and meaningful partnerships with global tech giants but also underscored MK Group’s proactive role as a private enterprise in implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW – contributing to Vietnam’s digital transformation journey.
