From May 12–15, 2026, MK Smart and MK Vision, members of MK Group, participated in ID4Africa 2026 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire—one of the world’s leading events dedicated to digital identity and trusted digital infrastructure.
Recognized as the premier platform for advancing Identity for Development (ID4D) across Africa, the ID4Africa Annual General Meeting (AGM) brought together more than 2,000 delegates from over 100 countries, including government agencies, development organizations, technology providers, and identity experts from around the world.

This year’s theme, “Digital Public Ecosystems,” reflects the growing shift from building standalone Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) toward developing interconnected digital ecosystems, where digital identity, authentication, data, and public services work together to deliver trusted, inclusive, and sustainable public value.
At Booth #M20, MK Smart and MK Vision joined forces with strategic partners DNP (Japan) and Laxton (Portugal) to showcase a comprehensive portfolio of technologies and solutions designed to support national digital transformation initiatives. Featured solutions included smart card issuance ecosystems, government-issued identity documents, digital trust and authentication infrastructure, AI-powered security and surveillance systems, and secure digital infrastructure platforms.
On the opening day, the exhibition area hosted a large number of visitors, including representatives from government agencies, national identity authorities, technology companies, and organizations responsible for implementing digital identity programs across Africa and other regions. The MK Smart and MK Vision team engaged in discussions on digital identity systems, secure credential issuance, electronic authentication, data protection, and trusted digital infrastructure for government and enterprise applications.

Throughout the four-day event, the MK delegation held a series of meetings and exchanges with partners, customers, and stakeholders from the global identity ecosystem. These discussions focused on emerging technology trends, opportunities for international cooperation, and potential projects related to digital identity, secure credentials, national ID programs, ePassports, and digital trust infrastructure.
Participation in ID4Africa 2026 provided MK Group with an important opportunity not only to showcase its technology, manufacturing capabilities, and innovation expertise, but also to strengthen relationships with government organizations, development agencies, and technology partners worldwide. The event further reinforced MK Group’s position as a trusted technology partner in the fields of Digital Identity, Digital Trust, AI Vision, and Secure Digital Infrastructure.

As countries increasingly move from Digital Public Infrastructure toward Digital Public Ecosystems, MK Group remains committed to developing trusted, secure, and scalable technologies that support digital governments, digital economies, and digital societies. Through its participation at ID4Africa 2026, the Group continues to expand its international presence while contributing to the development of trusted digital ecosystems around the world.
